(When we arrived at the Classical site of Tikal, Guatemala (a twenty minute walk from the "hotel" and landing strip) a news crew from the United States immediately attempted to interview us. They asked "What do you think of these magnificent pyramids rising from the rain forest?" Immediately before us was Temple One and "The Temple of the Gran Jaguar," often referred to as one of the seven Western Wonders of the World. We were unable to respond to the news crew's questions; we were in total awe of the 1300 year-old 200-plus foot tall ancient stone monoliths rising from the jungle floor.)
